Vietnam

After 2 lovely weeks in Beijing with my dear friend Paolo where I was able to stay and have my own room to recuperate before starting on the last part of my trip. I was offered a Job as a fashion designer at his company for a big Chinese fashion brand, I was excited by the idea and seeing where life would take me.
Full of energy and excitement I put my backpack back on to make my way down south again, 29hour by train followed by 8hours in a bus. It is great sometimes to force your self to do nothing and take time to relax and right ones journal while the train goes forward and landscapes pas by.
Going south I crossed the border to Vietnam, Hanoi. A country that was not on my itinerary, a country that surprised me in every sense of the way. As I was suppose to meet a friend who at the last moment did not make it, which made me sad and turned my life upside down.
But it made it very clear that it was time to work my way home!
No more dreams of working in China now or working the summer in Bali with my brother. No first it was time for Home, after almost 9 months of traveling the world I am full of stories and experience!

In the end Vietnam where two nice weeks where I sailed between the magic Islands of Ha Long Bay.Partied in Hanoi and spend 3 nights with a local farmers in the mountains helping them in the kitchen, ploughing the land and playing with the children. After my friend who did not come to visit, two robbery's and being threatened with a knife I must admit I was a little bit afraid and alone some times.

But soon enough I found back my strength to plan my last 1,5 month China -> Tibet -> Nepal. All over land crossing the Himalaya to go back to the county of my childhood!
